Advertising choices

What opting out does

We stop building and using a profile for this browser. We may still bid for advertising opportunities, but only on information about the opportunity itself — the site or app, the device, and approximate location such as country or city. You will see the same amount of advertising, chosen in a less targeted way.

We record the choice in a cookie named de_tp_cookie_dnd and add your browser identifier to a suppression list on our servers. We also act on opt-out lists sent to us by the supply partners we buy from.

What it does not do

• It is specific to this browser. Clearing your cookies, switching browser or using another device means making the choice again.
• It does not cover mobile apps. In apps we store nothing on your device. Use your device settings instead — iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads.
• It does not stop advertising. It changes how advertising is chosen, not whether you see it.
• It does not reach other companies. It applies to Digital East only.

If you are in the EEA or the UK

You do not need this page. We do not build profiles for users in the EEA or the UK at all, and we are not registered for the relevant purposes under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework, where we are Vendor ID 665. Your advertising choices are made in the consent banner on the site or app where you saw the advertisement, and we check that signal on every bid request. If you use the control above anyway, we will honour it.

You can object to this processing under Art. 21(1) GDPR, or ask what we hold, at privacy@digitaleast.mobi. We hold no name or email address for advertising data, so please include your cookie or advertising identifier — otherwise we cannot find your data. More detail is in our privacy policy.
